We are passionate about web accessibility at Bracknell Forest Council and are continually reviewing our website to ensure that it is accessible to all. The Shaw Trust has supported our accessibility work over a number of years through their expert audits and advice on how to resolve accessibility issues. This support has been invaluable and helped to ensure that our website meets WAI AA accessibility standards and also to win a SOCITM Better Connected accessibility award in 2017.

City of London
The City of London Corporation is very committed to making our website accessible to all our customers, working with the Shaw Trust gave us the chance to be accredited. It was a pleasure working with the Shaw Trust who gave us a very clear and detailed accessibility report and the steps required to complete this. Achieving this accreditation is very satisfying and we look forward to continuing our work with the Shaw Trust to maintain this high standard.

The accessibility training we had was excellent, everyone who attended said how useful it was in planning communications
Marketing Manager, Motability
As an organisation working to improve the impact of the charity sector, we share a lot of our work and insights free online. It’s really important to us that these are accessible as possible, so whoever needs them can use them. We know we haven’t been following best practice on this, so we decided to look around for help. The Shaw Trust appealed to us as an organisation that seems embedded in these issues, and who would provide the insight we needed. I thought we would get expert advice on a range of digital accessibility needs and that’s exactly what they gave us. The day-long training was comprehensive, and gave us a taste at all the issues at hand. This enabled us to think through how we would prioritise and fix where we are falling short. This is ongoing work for us, and it isn’t easy. But thanks to the Shaw Trust we’re going into it much better informed, and more convinced than ever that this is important work.
